Satisfied employees are the foundation of our success. WestCrown places great value on respectful, fair, and compliant collaboration.
For situations in which employees or third parties do not wish to clarify difficulties or problems via internal contacts, there is the option to contact an independent, external ombudsman (lawyer).

The ombudsman is available as a neutral point of contact, particularly for reports regarding potential irregularities or misconduct.

  • Violations of data protection regulations, quality assurance guidelines, or environmental protection standards

As soon as a report is received by the ombudsman, it is reviewed for plausibility. If there is suspicion of a violation of criminal laws or internal rules of conduct – for example, the WestCrown Code of Conduct – the ombudsman will forward the report to management in consultation with the reporting party, anonymously if requested. The ombudsman accompanies the process while management initiates an investigation of the submitted facts. The legal assessment of the investigated facts and the determination of suitable measures to eliminate and prevent incorrect business practices are carried out together with the ombudsman. No later than after the conclusion of the process, the reporting party will be informed about the outcome as far as legally possible. In addition, the reporting party can inquire about the status of the process at any time.

The anonymity of the reporting party is guaranteed at all times, provided this is requested. It is therefore possible for reports to be forwarded anonymously to WestCrown by the ombudsman. All further communication then takes place via the ombudsman, who is subject to the legal duty of confidentiality.

The protection of the reporting party is an essential part of handling these concerns. The reporting party is primarily protected by the fact that any retaliation against them will not be tolerated.

The reporting party's wish for identity protection must be balanced against the interest of the persons affected by the report in the disclosure of the facts. Therefore, intentional abuse of the reporting system will not be tolerated. In the event of intentional abuse by the reporting party, the ombudsman may, in exceptional cases, disclose the identity of the reporting party to the company.

  • The ombudsman represents an additional option for submitting reports. Their role does not affect other regulations regarding complaints and reporting.
  • Using the ombudsman's services is free of charge for the reporting party.
